The APC Smart-UPS SMX1500RMI2U is a 1500 VA line-interactive rack/tower UPS that supplies pure sine wave emergency power to connected IT equipment during power outages. It includes an IEC 320 C14 input, eight IEC 320 C13 outlets, two IEC jumper cables, a SmartSlot for an optional Network Management Card (AP9640/AP9641) and an LCD for local operation. The UPS supports user-replaceable internal battery cartridges (APCRBC115) and can be expanded with external battery packs (SMX48RMBP2U) to extend runtime. The unit is convertible between rack (2U) and tower configurations using the supplied rack-mount brackets and tower feet.

How to use

Install the SMX1500RMI2U in a rack (2U) or place it upright using the supplied feet. Connect the mains supply to the IEC 320 C14 inlet and plug your equipment into the IEC 320 C13 outlets. For remote management and automated shutdown, install the optional APC Network Management Card in the SmartSlot and configure PowerChute Network Shutdown or EcoStruxure IT according to your network settings. To extend runtime, connect supported external battery packs. Replace the internal APCRBC115 battery cartridge when indicated by the UPS; this is user-replaceable without powering down connected equipment if procedures are followed according to APC guidance.
