How to use

Install the SMX1500RMI2UNC in a rack using the supplied 4-post brackets or place it upright using the supplied feet. Connect critical equipment to the C13 outlets and plug the UPS input to the mains via the IEC C14 connector. Use the LCD and physical buttons to view status and configure basic settings. For networked monitoring and controlled shutdowns, connect the preinstalled network card to your Ethernet network and install PowerChute Network Shutdown on your servers. To increase backup time, connect compatible external battery packs. Replace the internal battery cartridge (APCRBC115) following the user manual instructions while leaving connected equipment powered when permitted by the procedure.

Usage recommendations

Place the UPS in a ventilated location away from heat sources, register the unit to activate the first-year support features, and test the shutdown configuration and switched outlet groups under controlled conditions.
