The APC Smart-UPS X SMX3000HV is a 3 kVA / 2700 W line-interactive UPS in a 4U rack/tower form factor designed to keep IT equipment online during power interruptions. It supplies pure sine wave emergency power to connected devices, offers an LCD for local status and control, and supports runtime extension via optional external battery packs. The unit includes multiple input power cords (BS1363A, IEC 320 C20 and Schuko) and provides 8x IEC 320 C13 and 2x IEC 320 C19 outlets. A SmartSlot accepts an optional Network Management Card for remote management and controlled shutdown of physical and virtual servers.

Advantages

How to use

Install the SMX3000HV in a 19" rack (4U) using the supplied front-post brackets or place it upright using the included tower feet. Connect critical equipment to the IEC C13 and C19 outlets and attach the appropriate input power cord for your region. For remote management, insert an APC Network Management Card into the SmartSlot and configure SNMP or EcoStruxure IT access. Use the LCD for local monitoring and configure Switched Outlet Groups to stagger equipment start-up or to remotely reboot specific circuits. Replace the internal battery cartridge following the user-replaceable battery instructions without powering down connected loads when hot-swap replacement is supported.

Usage recommendations

For predictable shutdowns and maximum runtime, install the optional external battery packs (SMX120BP) and configure PowerChute software or PowerChute Network Shutdown with a Network Management Card.
