The APC Smart-UPS X SMX3000RMHV2U is a 3000 VA line-interactive rack/tower UPS that delivers 2700 W of output power and provides pure sine wave backup for critical IT equipment. It includes 8 IEC 320 C13 and 1 IEC 320 C19 outlets, an IEC 320 C20 input (power cords included), a SmartSlot for an optional Network Management Card and user-replaceable internal battery cartridge. The unit is convertible between 2U rackmount and tower configurations and supports connection of external battery packs (SMX120RMBP2U) to extend runtime.

Install the SMX3000RMHV2U in a rack using the supplied 4-post brackets or place it upright using the included stabilizing feet. Connect critical devices to the IEC C13 and C19 outlets and plug the UPS into mains using the supplied power cord. If needed, install the optional APC Network Management Card into the SmartSlot to enable SNMP and remote management, and install APC PowerChute or PowerChute Network Shutdown software for automated graceful shutdowns. To extend runtime, connect compatible SMX120RMBP2U external battery packs following the manufacturer instructions.
