The APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT6KRMXLI is a 6 kVA/kW double-conversion rackmount UPS that supplies clean, uninterrupted power to connected IT equipment. Designed for rack installation (4U) with a tiltable LCD and included 4-post rail kit, it provides hardwire input, ten AC outlets (6x IEC 320 C13 and 4x IEC 320 C19) and two IEC jumper cables. The unit includes an embedded Network Management Card and PowerChute Network Shutdown software to allow remote monitoring, managed shutdown of physical and virtual servers, and integration with centralized management platforms such as EcoStruxure IT.

How to use

Install the UPS in a standard 19-inch rack using the supplied 4-post rail kit and secure the unit. Connect mains input and the hardwire output or use the included IEC outlets and jumper cables for your equipment. Configure the network settings on the embedded Network Management Card to enable SNMP and remote access, then install PowerChute Network Shutdown on your servers to allow orderly shutdown during extended outages. If extended runtime is required, connect supported external battery packs (SRT192RMBP) following the manufacturer’s instructions. Replace the internal battery cartridge (APCRBC140) when notified by the UPS; the cartridge is hot-swappable and can be changed without shutting down protected loads.

Usage recommendations

For virtualized environments and HCI clusters, obtain the appropriate PowerChute Network Shutdown license (1, 3 or 5 years) to ensure graceful shutdown and automated restart sequences. Use switched outlet groups to sequence start-up and reduce inrush currents; configure non-critical loads to be shed first to extend runtime for critical systems.
