UPS APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT8KRMXLI
The APC Smart-UPS On-Line SRT8KRMXLI is an 8 kVA double-conversion rack/tower UPS designed to provide continuous, clean power for critical IT equipment. It delivers pure sine-wave output with tight voltage and frequency regulation, internal bypass, and hardwire input/output options, and includes an embedded Network Management Card and PowerChute Network Shutdown software for orderly shutdowns of physical and virtual servers. The unit features 10 AC outlets (6x IEC C13, 4x IEC C19), three IEC jumper cables, support for external battery packs to extend runtime, and user-replaceable internal battery cartridges. It is certified to multiple international standards and is intended for professional IT and network environments.
Double-conversion topology ensures perfectly clean, continuous power and immediate transfer to battery without switching delays. The integrated network management card enables remote monitoring and SNMP-based management, while PowerChute Network Shutdown allows controlled shutdowns of Windows, Linux, ESXi and supported virtual environments. Expandable runtime via external battery packs, user-replaceable internal battery cartridges, and rackmount ease-of-use with a tiltable graphic LCD and 4-post rail kit increase availability and simplify maintenance. Switched outlet groups provide remote reboot, phased startup and the ability to shed non-critical loads to extend runtime.
Install the UPS in a 4‑post rack using the supplied rail kit or set up as a tower where space permits. Connect critical equipment to the IEC C13 and C19 outlets and hardwire the input according to site electrical requirements. Configure the Network Management Card through the web interface or EcoStruxure IT for remote monitoring and management. Install PowerChute Network Shutdown on supported servers and virtual hosts and, if needed, acquire the additional license for hyperconverged or extended virtual machine support. For longer runtimes, connect compatible external battery packs; replace internal battery cartridges when indicated by the UPS status without powering down attached equipment.
Place the UPS in a well‑ventilated, temperature‑controlled environment, perform regular firmware and support‑license updates, and schedule periodic battery health checks. Use switched outlet groups to sequence device power‑on and to shed non‑critical loads to maximize runtime for critical systems.
