The APC Smart-UPS SUA5000RMI5U is a 5000 VA line-interactive UPS providing 4000 W output power and a sealed lead-acid battery (1632 VAh). Designed for rackmount or tower deployment (5U), it offers 8 C13 and 2 C19 outlets and provides short-term backup to keep connected equipment online during mains failures. The unit includes a pre-installed network management card (AP9641) for remote monitoring and management via SNMP or web interface.

Advantages

The UPS supplies emergency power instantly when mains fail, preventing data loss and uncontrolled shutdowns of PCs, servers and network equipment. It protects connected devices from voltage spikes and lightning-induced peaks. Hot-swappable internal battery cartridges (RBC55) allow easy replacement without powering down the UPS or attached hardware. Install the UPS in a rack or place it upright using the included brackets or feet. Connect critical equipment to the unit’s AC outlets and ensure the network management card is connected to your network for remote monitoring. Configure PowerChute Network Shutdown on protected servers to enable automated, orderly shutdown when battery capacity is low. Replace internal RBC55 battery cartridges following the user manual instructions while the UPS remains powered and connected to load.

For virtualized or hyperconverged environments, obtain the appropriate PowerChute Network Shutdown license (1 year: SWPCNS1Y-DIGI or 6 years: SWPCNS6Y-DIGI).
