Apte anti-draught seal for doors and windows AG706D, white, 95 cm
Apte AG706D is a white anti-draught seal for doors and windows with a length of 95 cm. It is designed to be fitted along the edge of doors or windows to reduce air infiltration, limit dust entry and help decrease external noise. The profile improves thermal performance of interior spaces by reducing cold drafts and can be used in homes, offices or other enclosed environments where simple, surface-mounted sealing is required.
The Apte anti-draught seal provides a continuous sealing edge that is easy to trim to size and install on most door and window frames. Its neutral white colour blends with standard interior finishes. By reducing uncontrolled airflow it contributes to improved indoor comfort and may reduce heating demand. The product is low-profile and intended for surface mounting without major modifications to existing frames.
This anti-draught seal is intended for gaps and edges with relatively uniform contact surfaces; it may not perform effectively on highly irregular or severely warped frames. It is not a substitute for structural repairs where frames are damaged or where weatherproofing requires a fully integrated sealing system. For very wide gaps or heavy-duty external exposure, a specialised seal or additional products may be necessary.
Measure the gap along the edge of the door or window where the seal will be fitted and cut the 95 cm strip to the required length using a sharp cutter. Clean the mounting surface to remove dust, grease and loose paint so the seal adheres or fastens correctly. Position the seal along the frame edge ensuring consistent contact along the length and attach according to the seal’s mounting method (adhesive, slide-in or screw-fit as appropriate). Test door or window operation to confirm that the seal creates a contact without preventing normal opening and closing, and make minor adjustments if needed.
Install the seal on a clean, dry surface and trim to length before final fixing. After fitting, open and close the door or window several times to ensure smooth operation and consistent contact; adjust the position if rubbing occurs. For the best thermal effect, combine with other insulation measures such as draft excluders at thresholds and weatherstripping around frames.
