Liquid cooling kit Aqua-Computer ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO LEAKSHIELD — 5 V pump, Black/Transparent reservoir

The Aqua-Computer ULTITUBE D5 100 PRO LEAKSHIELD is a compact reservoir-pump combination designed for custom PC water cooling loops. It pairs a D5-compatible 5 V pump with a borosilicate glass tube reservoir featuring a 65 mm outer diameter and 5 mm wall thickness. The unit combines robust materials — black anodized aluminum end rings bonded to the glass, acetal base and lid, and a stainless steel mesh filter — with an integrated LEAKSHIELD system that actively prevents and detects leaks, measures fill level, and supports vacuum-assisted filling.

Advantages

The borosilicate glass tube provides high scratch resistance, superior thermal and chemical resistance, and low thermal expansion compared with acrylic reservoirs. An integrated stainless steel mesh filter at the reservoir base separates particles and air bubbles from the coolant and is removable for rinsing. The PRO model includes an RGBpx-compatible LED ring with 13 addressable LEDs for reservoir illumination and the ability to chain additional RGBpx components. LEAKSHIELD creates and maintains a negative pressure in the coolant loop to prevent leaks, employs an integrated vacuum pump to remove ingressed air, monitors pressure with a high-precision sensor to detect even very small leaks, and can calculate reservoir fill level based on pressure and pumped air volume.

Suitable for

• Custom PC water cooling loops requiring a compact reservoir and D5-compatible 5 V pump
• Systems where leak prevention and early leak detection are priorities
• Builders who want an illuminated reservoir with addressable RGBpx LEDs
• Setups needing easy filling or topping up using a suction line to avoid spills

When it may not be suitable

This kit is intended for custom water-cooling loops and assumes the user will integrate it into a pump, radiator, and tubing layout; it is not a standalone closed-loop CPU cooler. Systems that require a pump with different voltage or form factor than a D5-compatible 5 V pump may need a different solution. In case of massive physical damage to tubing or fittings (for example a completely separated tube), coolant can still escape despite LEAKSHIELD protection.

Key specifications

• Reservoir tube material: borosilicate glass; outer diameter 65 mm, wall thickness 5 mm
• End rings: black anodized aluminum bonded to glass (no contact with coolant)
• Base and lid material: acetal (screwed to glass tube)
• Pump compatibility: D5-compatible, 5 V pump included
• Integrated filter: stainless steel mesh filter element at reservoir base, removable and rinsable
• Leak protection: active LEAKSHIELD system with negative pressure generation, integrated vacuum pump and high-precision pressure sensor
• Illumination: RGBpx-compatible LED ring with 13 addressable LEDs, chainable connector
• Additional fixation: rubber fixation ring with stainless steel insert for vibration damping

How to use

Mount the reservoir securely in your case using the supplied fixation ring and fasten the acetal base and lid to the glass tube. Connect the D5-compatible 5 V pump and the coolant loop tubing according to your custom loop layout. After installation, use the LEAKSHIELD functions to generate a negative pressure for leak testing before filling. For filling or topping up, either open the large reservoir opening or use an optional suction line together with LEAKSHIELD to draw coolant from a container and avoid splashes. Clean the integrated mesh filter under tap water when needed and ensure the gasket and lid are seated correctly to maintain sealing performance.

What to consider before purchase

• Compatibility with your existing pump mount, fittings and tubing size
• Requirement for a D5-compatible 5 V pump and compatibility with your pump controller or power source
• Space and clearance in your case for a 65 mm diameter reservoir and associated fittings
• Need for RGBpx lighting compatibility if you plan to use the included LED ring
• Familiarity with custom loop assembly, leak testing, and maintenance procedures

Usage recommendations

Use LEAKSHIELD leak test mode before the first fill to detect any small leaks. When filling, prefer the suction-line method to reduce spills. Periodically inspect and rinse the stainless steel mesh filter and verify gasket seating after maintenance. Adjust the negative pressure setting according to the installed pump to ensure effective leak prevention without overloading the vacuum system.
