The Aqua Computer farbwerk fan speed controller Black is a compact, autonomous RGB controller designed for precise multi-channel LED and fan output control. It provides twelve usable channels that can be arranged as up to four RGB strips or as individual channels, each with 13-bit resolution (8192 steps) for very smooth color gradients and fine brightness adjustments. The device includes an embedded microprocessor and can operate independently of a PC after configuration. Multiple input options allow temperature visualization, manual controls or external sensor-based color mapping, and the unit supports configuration via the free aquasuite software over USB. An aquabus-capable version integrates with Aqua Computer aquaero controllers, and some variants also offer Bluetooth connectivity.

How to use

If using sensor inputs, connect compatible temperature sensors, potentiometers or 0–3.3 V sources and map their ranges to color gradients. After saving the configuration to the device, the farbwerk will continue to run autonomously without a permanent USB connection. For aquabus-equipped units, connect to an aquaero controller to exchange sensor data and extend control possibilities.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriately rated LED strips and wiring for the intended voltage and current; the farbwerk’s outputs are intended for LED control and some creative external uses but must be paired with loads within safe voltage/current limits.
