The Aqua Computer 53256 fan controller (QUADRO) is a compact, four-channel PWM controller designed for precise fan management in air- and water-cooled computer systems. With a black compact housing and dimensions suitable for tight builds, this controller supports independent configuration of each channel, allowing manual or temperature-based speed control. An integrated RGBpx output controls up to 90 addressable LEDs with individually adjustable color and brightness and a range of visual effects. The QUADRO can operate standalone via USB or as an aquabus expansion for compatible Aqua Computer devices.

Install the QUADRO in your system where the compact dimensions fit your layout, and connect each 4-pin PWM fan to the desired output. For addressable LED strips or compatible LED fans, connect them to the RGBpx output following the manufacturer's wiring. Configure fan behaviour via the controller software over USB, choosing manual speed settings or temperature-based control using set point or curve controllers. If integrating with an aquaero 5 or 6, connect the QUADRO via aquabus to allow centralized control and sensor data transmission; up to two QUADRO units can be attached to a single aquaero.

Usage recommendations

Use appropriate PWM-compatible 4-pin fans and suitable splitters if connecting multiple fans to one channel. When deploying addressable LEDs, verify strip compatibility and follow recommended cable routing to avoid signal degradation. For temperature-based control, place temperature sensors near critical components to achieve effective cooling response.
