Sponge Squeegee Arix Tonkita 33 cm Tk853 — sponge blade window squeegee
The Arix Tonkita sponge squeegee 33 cm (Tk853) is a compact cleaning tool designed for wiping and absorbing water from flat surfaces such as windows, mirrors and glass panels. It combines a 33 cm replaceable sponge blade with a rubber edge, enabling initial soak-up of liquid and subsequent removal of excess water to reduce streaks and drips. The design accepts standard threaded handles or short poles, making it suitable for both handheld household use and light professional tasks.
The 33 cm sponge blade provides a balance between reach and maneuverability for medium-sized panes. The replaceable sponge element extends the working life of the tool and simplifies maintenance. A rubber edge complements the sponge by channeling residual water away from the surface, which helps achieve a cleaner finish with fewer streaks. The tool’s compatibility with common threaded handles increases versatility and storage convenience.
This sponge squeegee is not intended for heavy industrial cleaning or very large commercial windows where wider blades and professional-grade frames are more efficient. It may also be less effective on heavily soiled or sticky residues that require scrubbing with detergents or abrasive pads.
Wet the sponge blade before cleaning to increase absorbency, or apply a suitable window cleaner to the surface first. Glide the sponge across the surface to absorb loose water and dirt, then use the rubber edge to pull away remaining moisture in a steady horizontal or vertical motion. Rinse the sponge periodically to remove trapped dirt and squeeze out excess water. Replace the sponge blade when it shows signs of wear or reduced absorbency.
For best results, rinse and wring the sponge frequently during use and combine with a mild glass cleaner for stubborn marks. Store the squeegee with the sponge facing up or detached to allow drying and prevent odours. Replace the sponge blade when its texture or absorbency deteriorates.
