Car Sponge Arix 992 — removes insects, model ARI000064
The Arix car sponge 992 is designed specifically for removing insects and organic residues from vehicle exterior surfaces. Made for targeted cleaning of windshields, headlights and painted surfaces, the sponge removes dried insect splatter and deposits without using harsh abrasives. It is intended for use during routine exterior maintenance or as a pre-wash tool to restore visibility and prepare surfaces for full wash or polishing.
The sponge provides a balance of softness and effective residue lift, allowing removal of insect remains without scratching paint or glass when used correctly. Its shape and texture make it easy to hold and guide along curved surfaces such as headlamp lenses and windscreen areas. Because it does not rely on aggressive abrasive particles, the sponge reduces the risk of causing micro-scratches on clear coatings while still loosening dried organic matter for easier rinsing or wiping.
The sponge is not intended to replace a full car wash system or heavy-duty mechanical polishing. For deeply ingrained contaminants, tar, resin, or paint overspray, specialist decontamination products or clay bars will be more effective. If the vehicle surface has loose grit or heavy abrasive dirt, using the sponge without first rinsing may increase the risk of surface abrasion.
Rinse the surface to remove loose dirt and grit before using the sponge. Wet the sponge with water and, if available, apply a suitable insect-removal spray or mild car shampoo to help dissolve residues. Gently wipe the affected area using light pressure and straight motions; avoid circular scrubbing that can trap particles. Rinse the sponge frequently and change water if it becomes heavily contaminated. After treatment, rinse the vehicle surface thoroughly and dry or continue with your normal wash or polishing workflow.
Use the sponge on cool, shaded surfaces and always pre-rinse to remove loose contaminants. Combine with a dedicated insect remover or mild shampoo for best results, and follow with a full wash and protection if needed. Rinse and store the sponge dry between uses to maintain effectiveness and hygiene.
