Server barebone ASRock 1U10E-MILAN2 — AMD SoC, LGA 4094, 10×2.5" bays, 1600W, DDR4-3200 RDIMM, PCIe 3.0, SATA III, Aspeed AST2500
ASRock 1U10E-MILAN2 is a 1U server barebone built around an AMD SoC motherboard with LGA 4094 socket, designed for AMD EPYC 7002 and 7003 series processors. The chassis includes ten 2.5" drive bays and an integrated 1600 W power supply, offering a compact, rack-ready platform for storage-dense and high-availability deployments. Memory support includes 288-pin DDR4 RDIMM modules up to DDR4-3200, and the system provides PCIe 3.0 and SATA III interfaces for flexible expansion and storage connectivity. Onboard management is handled by an Aspeed AST2500 BMC and network connectivity uses Realtek RTL8211E LAN, while four front-accessible USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports simplify maintenance and peripheral attachment.
The barebone integrates a high-capacity power supply and a dense 2.5" drive layout in a 1U form factor, enabling efficient use of rack space without external power dependencies. Native support for DDR4-3200 RDIMM allows for higher memory bandwidth in database, virtualization, and compute-heavy tasks. Onboard BMC and multiple USB 3.2 Gen1 ports provide straightforward remote management and local serviceability. PCIe 3.0 lanes and SATA III connectivity ensure compatibility with a wide range of NVMe/SATA storage and add-in cards suited to diverse server roles.
Install a compatible AMD EPYC 7002 or 7003 series processor into the LGA 4094 socket following standard CPU mounting and thermal interface procedures. Populate memory slots with DDR4 RDIMM modules matched to the server's supported speed and capacity, and install required storage devices into the ten 2.5" bays; configure RAID or individual volumes via the chosen controller or software. Connect network and management interfaces, verify BMC access through the Aspeed AST2500 for remote monitoring, and attach peripherals to the front USB ports as needed. Rack-mount the chassis in a standard 19" rack and connect the integrated 1600 W PSU to a suitable power distribution unit with the recommended power and cooling infrastructure.
For optimal reliability and performance, use certified DDR4 RDIMM modules and balance drive types across bays according to your storage tiering plan. Ensure adequate front-to-back airflow in the rack and provision redundant network paths where possible. Regularly update BMC firmware and vendor-released BIOS to maintain management compatibility and security.
