Motherboard Asrock SP2C741D16-2T Intel Chipset LGA 4677 EEB
The Asrock SP2C741D16-2T Intel Chipset LGA 4677 EEB is a server-class motherboard designed for Intel® Xeon® processors using the LGA 4677 (Socket E). Built on an EEB form factor, the board supports up to 16 DDR5-SDRAM memory slots with a maximum listed memory clock of 5600 MHz and standard operating voltage of 1.1 V. An integrated Aspeed AST2600 provides on-board graphics and system management functionality. Firmware is provided through UEFI AMI BIOS with 512 Mbit memory, and the platform is compatible with Microsoft® Windows® Server 2022 and Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 8.4.
The motherboard's EEB form factor and support for LGA 4677 processors enable high-density server deployments and multi-socket configurations where applicable. Support for DDR5 memory at up to 5600 MHz and 16 memory slots allows for large memory capacity and higher bandwidth compared with previous generations. The integrated Aspeed AST2600 offers basic video output and remote system management capability without the need for additional adapters. UEFI AMI BIOS with 512 Mbit memory provides a modern firmware environment that supports current server operating systems.
Install the Asrock SP2C741D16-2T into an appropriate EEB-compatible chassis and follow standard server assembly procedures: mount processors compatible with LGA 4677 into the socket according to the processor vendor instructions, install DDR5 DIMMs across the memory slots observing recommended population rules, attach power connectors and I/O modules, and secure cooling solutions for CPU and chipset. After hardware assembly, enter the UEFI AMI BIOS to configure system settings, update firmware if required, and verify memory and CPU detection. Install a supported operating system such as Microsoft® Windows® Server 2022 or Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server 8.4 and load necessary drivers for full platform functionality.
For stable operation in server environments, use certified DDR5 modules that meet the 5600 MHz speed and 1.1 V specification, ensure adequate airflow and active cooling for CPUs and memory, and apply the latest UEFI BIOS updates from ASRock before deploying production workloads.
