Ratchet wrench Asta ASTA RATCHET 1/4" LONG 275mm, 1/4-inch drive, 275 mm length

Asta ASTA RATCHET 1/4" LONG 275mm is a hand-operated ratchet wrench with a 1/4-inch drive and a total length of 275 mm. It is engineered to access tight or recessed fasteners and to provide controlled torque through a reversible ratcheting mechanism. The compact length and 1/4-inch drive make it suitable for precision work, light mechanical repairs and routine maintenance where space is limited.

Advantages

The ratchet features a reversible mechanism that allows quick direction changes without removing the tool from the fastener, enabling efficient fastening and loosening. Its 275 mm length balances reach and control, improving access in confined areas while maintaining leverage. The 1/4-inch drive accommodates standard sockets for small fasteners and provides compatibility with a wide range of accessories. The tool is designed for repeated hand use and offers steady, consistent engagement with fasteners.

Suitable for

• Automotive trim, dashboard and engine bay work where space is restricted
• Small mechanical assemblies and maintenance of bicycles, motorcycles and small engines
• Household repairs and furniture assembly involving small nuts and bolts
• Electronics enclosure and appliance maintenance requiring controlled torque

Key specifications

• Drive size: 1/4 inch
• Total length: 275 mm
• Type: hand ratchet wrench with reversible ratcheting mechanism
• Suitable for use with standard 1/4-inch sockets and compatible accessories

How to use

Select an appropriately sized 1/4-inch socket and attach it securely to the ratchet drive. Set the ratchet direction using the reversible switch to choose clockwise or counterclockwise rotation, then engage the socket on the fastener squarely. Apply steady hand pressure and operate the ratchet in short strokes when working in tight spaces. Release and reposition as needed to continue turning the fastener to the required tightness or to remove it.

Usage recommendations

Use the ratchet with the correct socket size to avoid rounding fasteners. Do not exceed the intended manual torque for a 1/4-inch hand ratchet; for high-torque applications, use a larger drive or a torque-rated tool. Keep the mechanism clean and periodically apply light lubricant to maintain smooth ratcheting action. Store the tool in a dry place to prevent corrosion and inspect before use for wear or damage.
