Product information

Description

The ASUS ROG Strix B760-F Gaming WiFi is an ATX motherboard with an Intel B760 chipset and LGA 1700 socket, designed to support 12th and 13th Gen Intel Core processors up to i9. It accepts DDR5 memory across four DIMM slots for a maximum of 192 GB, and offers multiple storage options including M.2 NVMe and SATA III with RAID support. Networking options include onboard WiFi 6E and Intel 2.5G Ethernet, while expansion is provided by a PCIe 5.0 x16 slot plus additional PCIe lanes for contemporary graphics and peripherals.

Advantages

The board provides a robust power delivery system with a 16 + 1 60A power stage design, stacked heatsinks and a six-layer PCB to ensure stable performance with high-end Intel processors. Built-in DIY features such as PCIe Slot Q-Release, M.2 Q-Latch, Clear CMOS and BIOS FlashBack simplify installation and maintenance. Support for DDR5 with ASUS AEMP II enables improved memory overclocking and compatibility with a wide library of modules. Connectivity highlights include PCIe 5.0 x16 support, three PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots with heatsinks, USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C rear port, WiFi 6E, Intel 2.5G LAN and SupremeFX audio with the ALC4080 codec for high-resolution playback.

Suitable for

  • Gaming rigs requiring PCIe 5.0 graphics performance
  • High-performance desktop builds with 12th/13th Gen Intel CPUs
  • Content creation systems needing fast NVMe storage and high-speed networking
  • PC builders who prefer easy-install features and extensive BIOS tuning

Key specifications

  • Form factor: ATX
  • Chipset: Intel B760
  • Socket: LGA 1700
  • Memory: 4 × DDR5 DIMM slots, up to 192 GB
  • PCIe: 1 × PCIe 5.0 x16 primary slot; additional PCIe lanes for expansion
  • Storage: 3 × M.2 PCIe 4.0 slots with heatsinks; SATA III ports with RAID support
  • LAN/Wireless: Intel 2.5G Ethernet, WiFi 6E
  • USB: Rear I/O all USB 3.2-compliant, including USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 Type-C (up to 20 Gbps)
  • Audio: ROG SupremeFX with ALC4080 codec (up to 32-bit/384 kHz)

How to use

Install the motherboard into a compatible ATX case and mount a compatible LGA 1700 CPU with the appropriate cooler. Populate DDR5 DIMMs into the four memory slots according to the motherboard manual for optimal channel configuration. Connect NVMe SSDs into the M.2 slots and secure them with the M.2 Q-Latch. Attach GPU to the PCIe 5.0 x16 slot and use the PCIe Slot Q-Release when removing expansion cards. Connect power, front-panel headers and USB connectors, then use BIOS FlashBack or the onboard Clear CMOS button if you need to reset or update firmware. Configure settings and tuning through the ROG UEFI (BIOS) and ASUS utilities such as AI Suite and Armoury Crate once the OS is installed.

Usage recommendations

For stable high-frequency DDR5 operation, enable supported memory profiles (AEMP II or XMP when available) and ensure adequate VRM cooling and case airflow. Use the provided heatsinks for M.2 drives and keep firmware up to date via BIOS FlashBack to maintain compatibility and performance.
