Motherboard ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI AMD TRX50 Socket sTR5
The ASUS Pro WS TRX50-SAGE WIFI is a workstation-class motherboard for AMD TRX50 (Socket sTR5) Threadripper processors. It supports quad-channel DDR5 R-DIMM memory with ECC, multiple M.2 PCIe slots including PCIe 5.0, SlimSAS connectivity, onboard PCIe power connectors for multi-GPU configurations, and advanced networking including WiFi 7, 2.5 Gb and 10 Gb Ethernet. The board is engineered for content creation, software development, machine learning and other professional workflows that require high core counts, large memory capacity and extensive expansion options.
The motherboard provides robust power delivery and active cooling for stable operation with high-core-count AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO and Threadripper processors. ECC R-DIMM support and large heatsinks for M.2 drives improve data integrity and sustained storage performance. Onboard PCIe power connectors and multiple PCIe 5.0/4.0 x16 slots enable flexible multi-GPU setups, while integrated WiFi 7, dual-band transceivers and high-speed wired Ethernet options deliver low-latency, high-bandwidth connectivity. Design elements like ProCool II connectors, SafeSlot, SafeDIMM and Q-Latch simplify installation and enhance long-term reliability for continuous use.
Install a compatible AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO or Threadripper processor into the sTR5 socket and populate up to four DDR5 R-DIMM modules to enable quad-channel memory. Connect power using the ProCool II CPU connectors and optional dual PSU setup for heavy overclocking or multi-GPU configurations. Mount M.2 NVMe drives into the provided slots and secure them using the Q-Latch mechanism if applicable. Attach WiFi antennae using the Q-Antenna design for quick fitting and connect wired networks to the 2.5 Gb and 10 Gb Ethernet ports. Use the BIOS options to configure EXPO or ECC settings and adjust power and cooling profiles for stability under load.
For professional workloads, populate ECC R-DIMM modules and enable ECC in firmware to maximize system reliability. Use adequate case airflow and the provided VRM cooling features when running sustained heavy loads or overclocking. If remote monitoring is required, install the ASUS IPMI expansion card and integrate the board with ASUS Control Center Express for centralized management.
