Product information

Description

The ASUS TUF GAMING A520M-PLUS WIFI is a micro ATX motherboard based on the AMD A520 chipset with Socket AM4, designed to support AMD Ryzen 3000 and 5000 series processors. It offers a stable power delivery system, military-grade components, integrated 802.11ac Wi‑Fi, multiple USB ports including USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type‑A, M.2 support up to 32 Gbps and addressable RGB headers for system lighting. The board is engineered for reliable everyday and gaming use and is compatible with a wide range of PC components through the TUF Gaming Alliance.

Advantages

TUF components such as military-grade chokes and capacitors and Digi+ VRM provide improved power stability and longer component lifespan. Extensive cooling features include a high‑mass VRM heatsink, Stack Cool 3+ copper layers and comprehensive fan controls via Fan Xpert 2+ or ASUS UEFI BIOS. Protection features include SafeSlot Core+, ESD Guards, DRAM overvoltage protection and a corrosion-resistant stainless-steel back I/O panel. Built-in 802.11ac Wi‑Fi, M.2 x4 PCIe 3.0 support, and Armoury Crate software simplify connectivity, storage performance and system configuration.

Suitable for

  • Building a compact gaming PC with AMD Ryzen 3000/5000 CPUs
  • Home or office systems requiring reliable, long‑lasting components
  • Workstations that need M.2 NVMe storage and multiple USB peripherals

Key specifications

  • Form factor: Micro ATX
  • Chipset: AMD A520
  • CPU socket: Socket AM4 (supports Ryzen 3000 and 5000 series)
  • Memory: DDR4, up to 128 GB across 4 DIMM slots
  • Expansion: 1 × PCIe 3.0 x16, 2 × PCIe 3.0 x1
  • M.2: supports 2280, up to 32 Gbps via PCIe 3.0 x4
  • Network: 802.11ac Wi‑Fi (1x1, up to 433.3 Mbps)
  • USB: USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type‑A ports
  • Weight: 0.9 kg

How to use

Install the motherboard into a compatible micro ATX case and connect an AM4‑compatible CPU, CPU cooler, DDR4 memory modules (observing recommended slot population), and a PSU using the board’s 24‑pin and CPU power connectors. For faster storage, install an M.2 NVMe drive into the M.2 slot (up to 2280). Configure fan profiles and system settings via the ASUS UEFI BIOS or Armoury Crate and update the UEFI BIOS using BIOS FlashBack™ if required. Connect peripherals to the rear I/O USB ports and, if needed, set up Wi‑Fi using the supplied antennas.

Usage recommendations

Use memory modules and cooling solutions listed as compatible in the TUF Gaming Alliance for best interoperability. Keep BIOS and Armoury Crate updated to ensure optimal stability and enable DRAM overvoltage protection when installing or testing new memory kits. For heavy graphics cards, use the reinforced SafeSlot Core+ and secure the card to the case to reduce mechanical stress.
