KVM Switch ATEN CL1308N Rack Mounting Black PS/2 USB VGA
The ATEN CL1308N is a 1U rack-mountable KVM switch with an integrated 19" LED-backlit LCD, full keyboard and touchpad, designed to save server-rack space and reduce maintenance complexity. It provides local access and control of up to 8 computers from a single keyboard, monitor and mouse (KVM) console and supports cascading up to 8 additional switches for a maximum of 128 connected computers. The unit supports both PS/2 and USB connections for keyboards and mice, offers VGA video output with a maximum resolution of 1920 x 1200, and is built from metal and plastic for rack use.
The CL1308N combines monitor, keyboard and touchpad in a sliding 1U housing to minimise rack space usage and simplify cabling. It supports both USB and PS/2 peripherals and allows fast installation by connecting cables to the appropriate ports without requiring software configuration. Multiple switching methods—front-panel push buttons, keyboard hotkeys and a multilingual on-screen display (OSD)—provide flexible control options. Cascading capability expands control to up to 128 computers from a single console.
Install the CL1308N in a 1U rack slot using the appropriate mounting kit if required, slide into position, and connect each server to the switch using the corresponding KVM cables for VGA and keyboard/mouse (USB or PS/2). Power the unit from AC and use the front panel controls, keyboard hotkeys, or the OSD menu to switch between connected computers. For cascading, connect the KVM cascade ports between switches according to the installation guide to expand the number of controllable servers.
Use certified KVM and VGA cables and, if mounting in a rack, verify compatibility of optional rack-mount kits. For best video performance, use cables rated for the target resolution and follow grounding and cable management practices in server environments.
