ATEN HDMI extender khext60-1 — extends HDMI signal up to 60 m over Cat5e/Cat6
ATEN HDMI extender khext60-1 transmits HDMI Full HD (1080p) video and audio over a single Cat5e/Cat6 cable for distances up to 60 m. The device is intended for point-to-point extension where direct HDMI cabling is impractical and delivers a digital HDMI signal and embedded audio between source and display.
This extender supports Full HD 1080p up to 60 m with a 10.2 Gbps bandwidth including HDCP support. It uses a single LAN cable (Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat7) and includes transmitter and receiver units with power adapters. Both units provide EDID button control and LED indicators to show link and transmission status. The transmitter and receiver must be directly connected by a single uninterrupted LAN cable and cannot be connected through active network equipment.
Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and the receiver to the HDMI display. Use a single uninterrupted Cat5e/Cat6 (or Cat7) cable directly between the transmitter and receiver; do not route through switches, routers or other active network devices. Plug in the supplied 5 V power adapters for both units. Use the EDID button if you need to manage display EDID settings and check the LEDs to confirm link and signal transmission.
For best results, use a high-quality solid copper LAN cable (recommended AWG23 for 60 m runs, e.g., UTP Cat6) and ensure the LAN cable is a direct point-to-point connection without interruptions through active network equipment. Do not connect the extender to an Ethernet network switch, router or similar device.
