ATEN VC080 HDMI EDID Emulator, 4K Resolution Support
The ATEN HDMI EDID Emulator is a compact hardware device that emulates and stores the Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) of a target HDMI display. It supplies consistent EDID information to an HDMI source so the source can select and maintain an optimal video resolution up to 4096 × 2160. The unit is housed in a metal enclosure and connects via HDMI to the source and display.
The emulator provides stable, reliable EDID data to prevent resolution mismatches, blank screens, or incorrect color/format negotiation between source devices and displays. It supports high-resolution formats (including 3840 × 2160 and 4096 × 2160) and a bandwidth of up to 10.2 Gbit/s, while the compact metal housing ensures durability and easy rack or desktop placement.
Connect the ATEN HDMI EDID Emulator between the HDMI source and the display, following the included wiring: use the HDMI connections for video signal path, and connect power via the supplied USB to DC power cord if required. Use the provided RS-232 configuration cable and the programmer utility to read, edit or program the EDID data stored in the emulator according to the desired display profile. Refer to the user instructions for step-by-step configuration and for details on saving and restoring EDID profiles.
For reliable results, program and verify the EDID profile while the target display is connected and powered on. Use the emulator in close proximity to connected devices to avoid long, passive HDMI cable runs that may affect signal integrity.
