AV receiver ATEN VE800A HDMI Over Cat5e/6 Audio/Video Extender (60m)
AV receiver ATEN VE800A HDMI Over Cat5e/6 Audio/Video Extender (60m)
The ATEN VE800A HDMI Over Cat5e/6 Audio/Video Extender extends HDMI video and audio up to 60 m over a single Cat5e/6 cable. The kit includes a transmitter and receiver pair, power adapters and a mounting kit, and supports HDMI features such as 3D and Deep Color for full HD display compatibility. A DDC port allows use of the display's EDID by linking units with an additional Cat5e cable.
The VE800A sends uncompressed HDMI signals over a single Cat5e/6 cable, reducing cabling complexity while preserving 1920 x 1080 resolution. Its compact form factor and included mounting hardware simplify installation in home theatre or professional AV environments. Support for 3D, Deep Color and EDID pass-through ensures compatibility with a wide range of HDMI displays and sources.
Connect the HDMI source (media player, PC, etc.) to the transmitter HDMI input and connect the receiver HDMI output to the display. Link transmitter and receiver using a single Cat5e/6 cable; an additional Cat5e cable can be connected to the DDC port for EDID sharing if required. Plug in the supplied power adapters for both units, then power on the source and display. Confirm display resolution settings on the source to match 1920 x 1080 for optimal results.
For reliable performance, use high-quality Cat5e or Cat6 cables and keep cable runs within the specified 60 m maximum. Avoid running the network cable parallel to high-voltage power lines to reduce interference. Use the EDID pass-through when the display's native timing must be preserved.
