AV transmitter ATEN VE814AT-ATA-G 4K@100m HDMI HDBaseT
The ATEN VE814AT-ATA-G is an AV transmitter that sends HDMI video up to 4K resolution across a single Cat5e/6/6a cable using HDBaseT technology. Its compact metal housing (123mm x 140.2mm x 30mm) and 0.45 kg weight make it suitable for installations with limited space. The unit supports HDCP 2.2 and the HDMI specification including 3D, Deep Color and a maximum data rate of 10.2 Gbps. It provides dual synchronous remote outputs plus a local HDMI output, and includes wired control via RS-232 and IR pass-through for remote device management.
The VE814AT-ATA-G transmits 4K video reliably up to 100 m over standard Cat5e/6/6a cabling, with an extended Long Reach Mode for 1080p up to 150 m. It is HDCP 2.2-compliant and supports HDMI features such as 3D and Deep Color, ensuring compatibility with modern sources and displays. Dual synchronous outputs allow the same content to be shown on two remote displays while maintaining a local output. Integrated RS-232 and IR signaling pass-through enables control of source and display devices without additional cabling.
Connect the HDMI source to the transmitter's HDMI input and run a Cat5e/6/6a cable from the HDBaseT output to the compatible receiver(s). Use the local HDMI output if a nearby display is required. For remote control, connect RS-232 or IR cables as needed to enable pass-through control between source and display devices. Power the unit according to the manufacturer's instructions and verify signal and control functionality before final mounting.
For reliable 4K performance, use high-quality Cat6 or Cat6a cable and keep cable runs within the specified 100 m HDBaseT range; switch to Long Reach Mode when distributing 1080p over longer runs up to 150 m. Ensure connected devices support HDCP 2.2 where required. Place the transmitter in a ventilated location and secure all cable connections to minimise signal loss and interference.
