Audac ARJ03P is a compact network junction box in green, sized 61 × 40 × 48 mm, designed to organize and protect RJ45-based network terminations and short cable runs. The unit integrates three RJ45 connectors configured as BUS IN, BUS OUT and a third port for connecting a remote in- or output module. The enclosure includes two termination jumpers to terminate communication and audio pairs at their characteristic impedance and a terminal block for connecting an external +24 V DC supply that is routed to RJ45 Pin3 (+) and Pin6 (GND). The housing is made of unbreakable plastic and is suitable for mounting on Mini DIN rails.

How to use

Mount the ARJ03P on a Mini DIN rail or in a suitable enclosure at the desired cable routing point. Connect the incoming databus to the BUS IN RJ45 and the outgoing segment to BUS OUT. Plug the remote in- or output module into the third RJ45 port. If required, fit the termination jumpers to terminate the communication pair (Pins 4 & 5) and/or the audio pair (Pins 7 & 8) at 120 Ω to reduce signal reflections. Connect an external +24 V DC supply to the terminal block to provide power over the bus; verify polarity so that +24 V is presented on RJ45 Pin3 and ground on Pin6.

Usage recommendations

Use the ARJ03P for short-distance splits and intermediate connection points in twisted-pair databus systems. Enable pair termination only when the device is located at the physical end of a bus segment or when required by the system design.
