Loudspeaker Audac CIRA5 2-way wired 24 W, 45–20000 Hz, 8 Ω, white
Audac CIRA5 is a 2-way wired loudspeaker with 24 W nominal power, 45–20000 Hz frequency response and 8 Ω impedance. The compact ceiling speaker integrates a 5¼" polypropylene-cone driver and a 1" Mylar tweeter with phase plug in a coaxial configuration to deliver balanced mid and high frequencies with low distortion. The white, borderless TwistFix grille and QuickFit™ mounting system are designed for a snug, low-profile fit into ceilings while the FastCon™ connector and transformer options simplify installation and long-term stability.
The CIRA5 provides clear speech intelligibility and musical reproduction from a single coaxial driver arrangement, keeping off-axis performance stable thanks to the tweeter phase plug. Its multi-tap 100 V transformer and selectable 8 Ω/16 Ω bypass let the speaker be used in different amplification and distribution setups. Durable build materials, a seamless grill design and a tool-friendly mounting and connector system reduce installation time and ensure consistent operation in background music, paging and small PA systems.
Choose an installation location in the ceiling that provides even coverage for the listening area and is clear of structural obstructions. Connect the speaker to the amplifier or 100 V line using the FastCon™ connector; select the appropriate transformer tap for the required power level or use the 8 Ω/16 Ω bypass if driven by a conventional amplifier. Secure the speaker with the QuickFit™ mounting system until the grille sits flush with the ceiling. Verify polarity and test at low volume before full operation, then adjust levels from the amplifier or paging system to suit the environment.
For best speech intelligibility and even background coverage, position speakers at regular intervals and avoid placing units directly above noise sources. Use the 100 V taps for distributed ceiling installations and the 8 Ω/16 Ω bypass when connecting individual speakers to low-impedance amplifiers. Periodically check connector integrity and grille fit to maintain consistent audio quality.
