Microphone AUDAC MPX48
The AUDAC MPX48 microphone is a wired paging microphone designed for use with MTX series audio matrix systems, specifically matching a 4-zone MTX48 configuration. It features a cardioid pipe-neck microphone capsule with an adjustable tilt and an integrated chime tone that signals the start of each announcement. The unit houses capacitive touch controls and blended indicator LEDs behind a real glass front panel with anti-glare coating, offering a compact, low-profile solution for offices, conference rooms and design-conscious interiors. Connectivity is via a fixed 2 m cable with RJ-45 termination and can be extended over standard CAT5E twisted-pair cabling to a maximum of 300 m when needed.
The MPX48 provides focused sound capture thanks to its cardioid pickup pattern, reducing background noise and improving speech intelligibility for paging and announcements. Its capacitive touch controls and integrated LED indicators deliver reliable, wear-free operation and a refined aesthetic. The glass front panel with anti-glare treatment and the compact enclosure allow the microphone to blend into modern interiors while remaining robust and easy to install. RJ-45 wired connectivity and long-range extension over CAT5E ensure dependable system integration with MTX matrix equipment.
Connect the MPX48 to the MTX48 audio matrix system using the included RJ-45 terminated 2 m cable or extend the connection over CAT5E cabling as required. Position the pipe-neck microphone and tilt it to the desired angle for optimal voice capture. Use the capacitive touch buttons to select zones, clear selections, and operate the push-to-talk function; press and hold the PTT button while making an announcement. A chime tone will play before each announcement to alert listeners. For cascading multiple paging stations, install junction boxes (ARJ03P or CP45ARJ) and configure databus priority as needed.
For best speech intelligibility, place the microphone 15–30 cm from the speaker’s mouth and angle the pipe-neck toward the sound source. Avoid direct airflow or HVAC vents aimed at the capsule and minimize reflective surfaces immediately in front of the microphone. When extending the connection beyond 2 m, use CAT5E or better twisted-pair cable and verify termination integrity to maintain reliable communication with the MTX matrix.
