Audac PRE240 Four Zone 10 Channel Stereo Preamplifier

The Audac PRE240 Four Zone 10 Channel Stereo Preamplifier is a professional audio solution engineered for complex multi-zone sound reinforcement and audio distribution systems. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of commercial installations, public venues, and large shared spaces, this stereo preamplifier delivers precise signal routing and reliable performance across four independent output zones. With its 10-channel configuration, it allows installers and system operators to manage multiple audio sources efficiently, ensuring pristine sound quality and independent control for every designated area within a facility.

Advantages

This professional preamplifier stands out through its sophisticated multi-zone architecture, which enables simultaneous and independent audio management across four separate zones. The integration of ten distinct channels provides exceptional flexibility when connecting diverse audio sources such as media players, microphones, and line-level devices. Built with professional-grade components, the unit guarantees low distortion and high signal integrity, making it suitable for continuous daily operation in commercial environments. The intuitive front-panel layout and comprehensive rear-panel connectivity streamline setup, operation, and integration into existing audio infrastructures.

Suitable for

• Commercial installations in retail stores and shopping centers requiring multi-zone background music
• Public venues, community halls, and conference centers needing independent volume and source control
• Hotels, restaurants, and hospitality spaces with multiple dining and lounge areas
• Corporate offices and educational facilities with distributed audio and paging requirements

When it may not be suitable

This multi-zone preamplifier is generally not suitable for simple residential stereo setups or basic single-room home audio systems where zone distribution is unnecessary. Additionally, because it is a preamplifier without built-in power amplification, it requires external power amplifiers or active speakers to drive sound systems.

Key specifications

• Four independent output zones
• Ten-channel stereo preamplifier design
• Multiple audio source routing capabilities
• Professional-grade signal processing architecture
• Designed for commercial multi-zone audio distribution

How to use

Begin by connecting your primary audio sources, such as media players and microphones, to the appropriate inputs on the rear panel of the preamplifier. Next, route the four independent zone outputs to external power amplifiers or active speakers corresponding to each specific listening area. Connect the unit to a stable power supply and power it on. Use the front-panel controls to select desired audio sources and adjust output levels independently for each zone to achieve the balanced sound distribution required for your environment.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify the number of required audio zones in your facility matches the four-zone capacity of the unit
• Ensure compatibility with your existing power amplifiers, active speakers, and audio sources
• Confirm whether professional installation is required for your specific acoustic environment
• Evaluate the space available in your equipment rack for mounting the preamplifier

Usage recommendations: Always ensure proper ventilation around the unit when mounting it in a standard equipment rack to prevent overheating during continuous commercial operation. Regularly inspect all cable connections to maintain optimal signal clarity and prevent interference across all active zones.
