Tire Lever Set AUTHOR AHT-07 — 3-piece plastic tire levers, yellow
AUTHOR AHT-07 is a set of three plastic tire levers designed to help with mounting and removing bicycle tires. The levers are lightweight and rigid, shaped to provide sufficient prying leverage while reducing the risk of scratching rims or pinching inner tubes. Their compact size makes them suitable for inclusion in on-bike repair kits or saddle bags for roadside tire changes.
The set contains three matched levers that work together to ease bead removal and reseating on a variety of wheel types. Made from durable plastic, the levers are resistant to corrosion and avoid metal-on-rim contact, which helps protect alloy and carbon rims. Their bright yellow color improves visibility in low-light conditions or when working on mixed-tool kits.
Plastic tire levers can bend under extreme force on very tight-fitting tires or when used with heavy-duty tires and stiff bead designs. They are not a substitute for professional workshop tools when handling tubeless setups that require specialized tools or high-force bead seating devices.
Deflate the inner tube fully before attempting to remove the tire. Insert one lever between the tire bead and rim and hook it onto a spoke or hold it in place; use a second lever to pry a section of the bead over the rim edge. Work around the rim with the third lever as needed to free the remaining bead. To reinstall, position the tire bead into the rim channel and use the levers only if the bead is very tight, taking care not to pinch the tube.
Use the levers as a complement to proper tire-changing technique: fully deflate the tube, work slowly to avoid pinching, and use multiple levers to distribute force. Store them in a tool roll or saddle bag where the yellow color helps locate them quickly.
