Battery LiFePO4 12.8V 100Ah M8 AVACOM (NewCell cells) is a lithium iron phosphate battery designed for stationary and cyclic applications such as UPS systems, off‑grid and backup energy storage, telecom and industrial installations. The battery provides a nominal voltage of 12.8V and a usable energy capacity of 1280Wh. It uses high-quality NewCell LiFePO4 cells and an integrated JBD battery management system (BMS) with M8 terminals and Bluetooth service communication for monitoring. The compact dimensions and relatively low weight make it suitable as a replacement for conventional 12V lead-acid batteries of similar form factor.
This LiFePO4 battery offers a high cycle life and stable voltage under load compared with lead‑acid alternatives, with improved resistance to deep discharge. The integrated BMS balances individual cells and provides protection against overcharge, undercharge and other common faults, while Bluetooth service communication enables status checks and diagnostics. The chemistry delivers greater usable capacity per kilogram and a longer service life in long‑term stationary installations.
Install the battery in a dry, ventilated location away from direct heat sources and corrosive environments. Connect the M8 terminals to the system following the correct polarity and the equipment manufacturer’s wiring instructions. For UPS and energy storage systems, configure the inverter/charger to match the 12.8V nominal battery voltage and adhere to recommended charge and discharge current limits specified by the inverter and the BMS. Use the Bluetooth service interface to verify state of charge, cell balancing status and any fault conditions prior to commissioning.
To maximise service life, operate the battery within manufacturer-recommended charge voltage and current limits, avoid prolonged storage at full discharge, and perform periodic checks via the BMS Bluetooth interface. For installations in series or parallel, ensure identical battery specifications and follow best practices for balancing and protective fusing. Dispose of the battery according to local regulations for lithium-based batteries.
