Avenli Marimex Universal Hanging Pool Skimmer

The Avenli Marimex Universal Hanging Pool Skimmer is an essential pool accessory designed for efficient surface cleaning in above-ground swimming pools. This device helps automatically collect leaves, debris, and floating particles from the water surface before they sink to the bottom, ensuring cleaner water and significantly reducing your overall pool maintenance effort.

Advantages

Using a surface skimmer provides continuous passive cleaning while your pool filtration system operates. It captures floating contaminants early, preventing organic matter from decaying in the water and reducing the amount of chemical sanitisers needed to maintain balanced water quality. The durable construction is resistant to pool chemicals and UV radiation, ensuring reliable seasonal performance and easy integration with standard above-ground pool setups.

Suitable for

• Above-ground swimming pools
• Removing floating leaves and grass clippings
• Collecting small insects and debris from the water surface
• Pre-filtering water before it reaches the main filtration pump

When it may not be suitable

This universal hanging skimmer is not designed for in-ground swimming pools or pools without a compatible mounting rim for hanging attachments. It may also not be suitable for heavy-duty commercial pool environments or for removing large, heavy debris that requires manual netting.

Key specifications

• Universal hanging design for above-ground pools
• Compatible with standard pool filtration systems
• Durable, chemical-resistant plastic construction
• Automatic surface debris collection mechanism

How to use

Attach the skimmer securely to the inside wall of the above-ground pool using the provided mounting bracket, ensuring the opening is positioned at the correct water level line. Connect the skimmer to your pool filtration pump according to the manufacturer instructions. As the pump runs, surface water is drawn into the skimmer basket, capturing floating debris. Periodically remove and empty the internal basket to maintain optimal water flow and cleaning efficiency.

What to consider before purchase

• Verify compatibility with your specific above-ground pool wall design
• Check that your pool filtration pump has sufficient flow rate to operate a skimmer effectively
• Ensure the mounting bracket fits the rim thickness of your pool model

Usage recommendations: Clean the internal debris basket regularly to prevent blockages and maintain consistent water circulation. Remove and store the skimmer indoors during freezing winter conditions to protect the plastic components from frost damage.
