Access panel AWENTA KRAL4 aluminium 200 x 300 x 12.5 mm
AWENTA KRAL4 aluminium 200 x 300 x 12.5 mm is a compact access panel designed for concealed maintenance access in walls and ceilings. The unit consists of a thin aluminium frame and a removable cover sized to fit a 200 x 300 mm opening with a 12.5 mm installation depth. Its corrosion-resistant aluminium construction is intended for installations where occasional access to plumbing, electrical junctions, ventilation dampers or other service components is required without altering the finished surface.
The aluminium construction provides a lightweight yet durable solution that resists rust and corrosion in typical indoor environments. The removable cover allows fast, tool-assisted or key-operated access while maintaining a low-profile appearance once closed. The 12.5 mm frame depth is compatible with standard drywall and ceiling panel thicknesses, enabling a flush finish and minimal trimming during installation.
This aluminium panel is not designed for use as a load-bearing floor hatch or for outdoor installations exposed directly to weather and heavy corrosion agents. It also may not be appropriate where fire-rated or acoustic-rated access panels are required unless combined with additional rated materials or systems.
Cut an opening in the wall or ceiling matching the visible opening dimensions, taking account of the frame depth. Insert the panel frame into the opening and secure it according to substrate type, using appropriate screws or anchors through the frame flange. Place the removable cover into the frame and engage the closure mechanism; verify the panel sits flush with the finished surface. To access services, remove the cover and inspect or service the concealed components. Reinstall the cover after work is completed to restore the concealed finish.
For best results, install the access panel during the rough-in or finishing phase of construction to achieve a flush fit with drywall or ceiling tiles. Use appropriate corrosion-resistant fasteners in humid environments and check local regulations for any fire or acoustic treatment required for service openings.
