Broom AWTools AW00160 — street/utility broom, model AW00160, weight 1.1 kg
The AWTools AW00160 street/utility broom is a sturdy manual broom with a varnished hardwood block and stiff nylon bristles. It includes a metal socket for attaching a shaft; the shaft is fixed with wing nuts and is sold separately. Designed for outdoor and indoor hard-floor use, the broom is intended for heavy-duty sweeping, scrubbing and removing compacted dirt on sidewalks, driveways, workshops, warehouses and production halls.
The varnished hardwood block provides a stable, long-lasting mounting for the bristles while the stiff nylon filament offers firm sweeping action and resistance to wear and moisture. The metal socket with wing-nut fastening ensures a secure connection to a compatible shaft. The broom’s balanced weight and compact design make it practical for sustained manual use on rough outdoor surfaces as well as indoor concrete or industrial floors.
This broom is not intended for very fine dust capture where a softer, finer-bristled broom or vacuum is required. It is also not suitable for use on delicate flooring that can be scratched by stiff nylon bristles or on surfaces requiring chemical-resistant materials unless the bristles and block are rinsed and inspected after use.
Attach a compatible shaft into the metal socket and tighten the wing nuts securely. Use firm, steady strokes to sweep debris and compacted dirt from paved surfaces, driveways and industrial floors. For scrubbing, apply moderate pressure and repeat passes until the surface is clean. After use, remove loose debris from the bristles and store the broom in a dry place to prolong bristle life.
For best results on outdoor pavements and workshop floors, use the AWTools AW00160 with a sturdy shaft of appropriate length and check the wing-nut fastening periodically. Clean bristles after heavy-duty use and store the broom bristle-side up or hanging to avoid deformation.
