Tarpaulin AWTools AW68032, lightweight waterproof sheet, weight 570 g
AWTools AW68032 tarpaulin is a lightweight waterproof sheet weighing 570 g, made from HDPE cross-woven fabric and laminated on both sides with LDPE. The sheet is designed to protect equipment, cargo, vehicles and outdoor items from moisture, dirt and UV exposure. Edges are heat-sealed and fitted with eyelets every 1 metre plus a sewn-in rope reinforcement to improve resistance to wind and rain, while the laminated surface is easy to clean and resists mould.
The tarpaulin offers a balance of low weight and durable protection suitable for temporary shelter, transport covering and general-purpose outdoor use. Construction with HDPE cross-weave and dual LDPE lamination provides water tightness and improved tear resistance. Heat-sealed edges, evenly spaced eyelets and a sewn rope reinforcement increase mechanical stability under load and in windy conditions. The material is UV resistant, mould-resistant and washable, which extends useful life in outdoor environments.
Place the tarpaulin over the object to be protected so that the laminated side faces outward for easiest cleaning. Secure the sheet using the eyelets and rope, bungee cords or straps, anchoring at regular intervals to distribute tension and avoid point loads. For transport use, ensure the rope reinforcement is positioned along stress lines and tie-downs are not overtightened to prevent cutting into the weave. Clean with mild detergent and water and allow to dry before folding and storing.
For prolonged outdoor exposure, mount the tarpaulin with some tension to avoid water pooling. Inspect eyelets and rope reinforcement periodically and avoid sharp edges that could abrade the laminate. When storing the tarpaulin long term, keep it folded or rolled in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight to preserve UV resistance and reduce material fatigue.
