Tarpaulin AWTools AW68072, model AW68072, weight 5.75 kg
The AWTools AW68072 tarpaulin is a multi-purpose protective cover weighing 5.75 kg, engineered to protect goods and equipment from weather, dirt and moisture. Constructed from HDPE cross-woven fabric laminated on both sides with LDPE, the sheet combines tensile strength with a waterproof surface. Heat-sealed edges with eyelets every 1 metre and a sewn-in rope reinforcement provide additional resistance to wind and mechanical stress, making this tarpaulin suitable for a broad range of outdoor and transport applications.
The laminated HDPE construction offers a balance of durability and flexibility while remaining lightweight for handling and installation. UV-resistant and mould-resistant properties extend service life in outdoor conditions. The waterproof LDPE lamination prevents water penetration, and the reinforced, heat-sealed edges with regularly spaced eyelets and rope reinforcement improve load distribution and secure fastening in windy or exposed situations. The material is also easy to clean and maintain.
Lay the tarpaulin over the object to be protected, aligning the eyelets along the perimeter for fastening. Use rope, straps or bungee cords through the eyelets to secure the cover to anchor points, trailer sides or vehicle frames. For long-term outdoor use, ensure the tarpaulin is tensioned to prevent water pooling and reduce wind flapping. When transporting loads, fasten the reinforcement rope and check all points of attachment before departure. After use, clean off dirt and moisture, allow the cover to dry, then fold or roll and store in a dry place.
For best performance, avoid prolonged contact with sharp edges and excessive heat sources. Inspect eyelets and seams regularly for wear, especially after heavy use or storms, and re-tension or replace fixings as needed to maintain weather protection and mechanical strength.
