AXAGON ADSA-1S SLIMport3 is a compact USB 2.0 adapter for connecting 2.5" SATA drives to a computer. The adapter supports quick connection of laptop HDDs and SSDs with boot support, S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, and automatic spindown. Its small dimensions, low weight and included plastic case make it convenient for stationary and mobile use.

Advantages

The adapter provides full USB 2.0 compatibility and backward support for USB 1.1, supports hot-plug and plug-and-play operation, and allows booting from a drive connected via USB. S.M.A.R.T. reading and HDD auto spindown/auto stop functions help monitor and save power. How to use

Connect a 2.5" SATA drive to the adapter, place the drive with adapter into the supplied plastic case if desired, and plug the USB Type-A connector into a computer USB port. The device is bus powered and supports hot-plugging; the operating system installs drivers automatically. Use included foam pads for 7 mm SSDs/HDDs to ensure a secure fit in the case. After connection the blue LED indicates power and blinks during data transfer.
