Description

AXAGON ADSA-DC DUAL CLONE is a SuperSpeed USB-C 5Gbps docking and cloning station that connects up to two 2.5" or 3.5" SATA drives to a computer. The dock uses a reversible USB-C port and includes an 80 cm USB-C <-> USB-A cable for connection. It supports SATA III with UASP, TRIM, and S.M.A.R.T. monitoring, and can operate standalone to clone a source drive to a target drive without a PC.

Advantages

The docking station allows tool-free, simultaneous insertion of one or two 2.5"/3.5" drives for fast swapping. Standalone cloning copies a full drive image from HDD A (source) to HDD B (target) via a single button and four-LED progress indicators. Aluminium housing, rubber anti-slip pads and a stable base provide physical durability and reduced vibration.

How to use

Place the dock on a stable surface and connect the external power adapter. Connect the station to a computer using the supplied USB-C <-> USB-A cable or a USB-C cable into the dock's USB-C female port. Insert the source drive into slot HDD A and the target drive into slot HDD B for cloning, or insert one drive for direct access from the computer. For cloning, ensure the target drive has equal or larger capacity than the source, then press the clone button and monitor progress via the four LEDs. Use the device hot-plug support to connect or remove drives while the host is running. The station supports booting from a drive inserted in the dock when the host allows it.

Recommendations

For reliable cloning and SSD longevity, connect the power adapter, confirm target drive capacity is sufficient, and allow the cloning process to finish without interruption. Use the dock on a flat surface and keep ventilation unobstructed. Regularly check S.M.A.R.T. data when maintaining drives.
