Interface Card Axagon PCEA-P1 Internal Parallel
Interface Card Axagon PCEA-P1 Internal Parallel
The AXAGON PCEA-P1 PCI-Express card adds a parallel port with a DB25 connector to desktop computers, allowing connection of legacy parallel devices such as printers, plotters, hardware keys and EPROM programmers. The card uses the ASIX (formerly MOSChip) MCS9900CV-AA chipset and includes a low profile blanking plug for installation in slim cases.
The adapter provides broad compatibility with SPP/EPP/ECP/Nibble/Byte modes and supports automatic Plug and Play IRQ and I/O address selection. It fits into standard and low-profile PCIe slots and delivers a reliable parallel interface via a panel-mounted DB25 female connector. A driver CD and printed installation guide are included for multiple operating systems.
Power down the desktop, open the case and insert the AXAGON PCEA-P1 into an available PCIe x1 (or larger) slot. Secure the card with the appropriate bracket (standard or low-profile) and close the case. Boot the system and install drivers from the supplied CD or download updated drivers for your operating system. Connect the parallel device to the DB25 female connector on the card’s bracket and configure the device in the OS if necessary. For DOS-based systems, use the Re-Map IO Address feature to set the LPT port address.
Use the supplied driver CD or the manufacturer’s website to obtain the latest drivers for your OS. When installing in low-profile cases, attach the provided low profile bracket before securing the card. For critical legacy devices, verify compatibility with SPP/EPP/ECP modes and, if using DOS, set the correct LPT address via Re-Map IO Address.
