The AXAGON PCEA-PSN PCI-Express card adds one parallel DB25 port on the board and two RS-232 serial DB9 ports on the bracket to a desktop PC. The card uses the ASIX AX99100 chipset and is compatible with PCI-Express x1 slots and larger, supporting PCIe 2.0 (backward compatible with 1.0a/1.1 and upward to 3.0). Low-profile brackets are included for installation in standard and small form-factor cases.

How to use

Power off the PC and insert the card into a free PCI-Express x1 (or larger) slot. Choose and attach the appropriate bracket (standard or low profile) and secure it in the case. Connect the bracket cable to the card if the serial ports are on the separate bracket. Power on the PC; the device uses Plug and Play to assign IRQ and I/O addresses. Install drivers if required by the operating system. Configure baud rate, parity, flow control and COM port numbers in your OS or application as needed for the connected parallel or serial devices.
