The AXIS Q1808-LE Bullet Camera is an outdoor IP security camera that delivers 4K resolution (3712 x 2784 pixels) with excellent low-light sensitivity. Available with either a wide (12–48 mm) Canon lens for open-area coverage or a tele (50–150 mm) Canon lens for long-distance identification, it features motorized focus, 4x optical zoom (plus an additional 3x on the tele option), and a horizontal field of view from 90° down to 7°. The camera supports PoE and PoE out for powering additional devices, and is built for harsh environments with IP66/IP67, IK10 and NEMA 4X ratings and operating temperatures from -40 °C to 60 °C.

Advantages

AXIS Q1808-LE combines a large 4/3” image sensor with Lightfinder 2.0 for accurate colors in very low light and a DLPU (deep learning processing unit) for running advanced analytics at the edge. Zipstream H.264/H.265 reduces bandwidth and storage use while maintaining forensic detail. The camera provides optional white light LEDs for visible-light deterrence and optimized IR for effective surveillance in total darkness up to 150 m (tele model). Built-in cybersecurity (Axis Edge Vault), redundant power options (PoE and DC), supervised inputs and PoE out add operational resilience and simpler installation.

How to use

Mount the camera on a suitable wall bracket in the desired outdoor location, ensuring the chosen lens option (wide or tele) is appropriate for the monitored area. Connect network and power using PoE for single-cable installation or DC power where required; PoE out can be used to power an additional device. Configure orientation and focus using the motorized focus and the camera’s web interface or VMS.
