AXIS P3288-LV is an IP dome security camera designed for ceiling mounting in both indoor and outdoor environments. How to use

Install the camera on a ceiling mount at a height and angle that provides the required field of view for your coverage area. Connect the device to a wired Ethernet network for power and data, or integrate with a compatible PoE switch or injector. Configure video stream settings and codec preferences (AV1, H.264 or H.265) on the management interface to balance image quality with bandwidth and storage. Enable AXIS Object Analytics and other on-edge applications as needed; calibration and region settings within the camera software will optimize detection and counting. Use Axis Edge Vault and device security settings to manage credentials and certificates. Perform regular firmware updates to maintain performance and security.

Usage recommendations

For perimeter and long-distance monitoring, select a tele focal length and position the camera to take advantage of the 292 m detection range at tele settings; for wide-area coverage choose the wide end of the varifocal lens. Use Axis Zipstream with AV1 to reduce storage and bandwidth while preserving forensic detail. In high-glare or mixed-light scenes enable Forensic WDR and adjust exposure settings. To protect privacy, configure AXIS Live Privacy Shield and use audio analytics selectively to monitor relevant sound events only.
