Expansion Tank BA HCO Barrow 214mm DDC Acrylic — white
The BA HCO Barrow 214mm DDC Acrylic expansion tank in white is a compact reservoir designed for custom PC liquid cooling systems that use a DDC-compatible pump. This 214 mm acrylic cylinder provides a dedicated volume for coolant storage and air separation, helping to maintain stable loop performance and simplify filling and maintenance. The transparent white finish offers a clean aesthetic while allowing visual monitoring of coolant level.
The acrylic construction combines clarity with chemical resistance suitable for typical water-based coolants. Its 214 mm height balances capacity and space efficiency for mid-tower and compact cases. The DDC-compatible mounting and connection points make it straightforward to integrate with common DDC pump tops and fittings. The white finish gives a uniform look that complements neutral or light-coloured system builds.
This acrylic expansion tank is intended for use with DDC-style pump configurations; it may not fit pump types or mounts that are not DDC-compatible. The white translucent finish reduces but does not eliminate internal visibility compared with fully transparent reservoirs, which may be a limitation if full visual clarity is required.
Mount the expansion tank in a location compatible with DDC pump mounting and secure it according to your case layout and pump top instructions. Connect inlet and outlet fittings that match your loop configuration, ensuring all threads and seals are tightened to prevent leaks. Fill the loop with an appropriate coolant, bleed air through the reservoir and run the pump at low speed during initial filling to avoid cavitation. Periodically inspect the reservoir for coolant level, sediment, and signs of wear or leakage, and perform routine flushing when changing coolant or diagnosing flow issues.
Use corrosion-resistant fittings and compatible coolant formulations. During setup, perform a leak test with the system powered off and the pump running on external power if possible; then monitor for at least 24 hours before regular use. For long-term reliability, schedule coolant changes and reservoir inspections according to coolant manufacturer's guidance.
