BakkerElkhuizen HandShoeMouse Righthanded Small ergonomic right-hand optical mouse 1000 DPI USB-A black
BakkerElkhuizen HandShoeMouse Righthanded Small is an ergonomic right-hand optical mouse designed for office use. The patented hand-shaped form factor supports a lightly slanted palm and fingers so the device is used by gliding rather than gripping and lifting. Wired USB-A connection and optical tracking at 1000 DPI deliver stable, low-latency cursor control for typical desktop tasks. The compact size and 156 g weight provide a firm, steady presence on the desk while the three pressed buttons and scroll wheel allow standard navigation and selection functions.
The HandShoeMouse reduces muscle activity in the hand and fingers by supporting a natural hand posture, which can lower neural excitation during prolonged use. The right-handed shape keeps the wrist in a more neutral angle compared with conventional mice, and the wired USB-A connection avoids battery changes and wireless latency. Optical movement detection at 1000 DPI provides consistent cursor movement suitable for office applications.
Connect the HandShoeMouse to a computer using the USB Type-A cable; the device is plug-and-play with standard operating systems and requires no batteries. Position the mouse so your hand rests naturally on the slanted surface and operate by gliding the mouse over a flat, stable surface. Use the three buttons and scroll wheel for click, drag and scroll operations as needed in common office applications.
For best ergonomic benefit, place the mouse at the same height as your forearm and keep your wrist relaxed while working. Use a low-friction mouse pad or desk surface to enable smooth gliding, and take regular short breaks to stretch fingers and forearm muscles during long sessions.
Developed with input from Erasmus University Medical Center, the HandShoeMouse features a patented anatomical shape that supports the entire hand, fingers and thumb at a natural 25° angle. This full-surface support distributes pressure evenly, prevents excessive muscle tension and encourages movement from the forearm and wrist—helping to reduce the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome and repetitive strain injuries.

Studies show that intense finger use with conventional mice can lead to chronic hand and finger complaints. Biomechanical research supports a palm-supporting surface to stabilise the hand and reduce gripping forces. The HandShoeMouse minimises grip force and finger strain, offering a healthier solution for prolonged computer use.

The large palm platform and integrated thumb support let your hand rest comfortably, preventing excessive thumb action and gripping. Buttons are aligned with your fingers and require only a light touch, so minimal switch force is needed. The overall design encourages a relaxed hand posture and reduces contact irritation.

The slight 25° incline and full-surface support prevent kinking or squeezing of blood vessels. By promoting forearm- and wrist-based movement rather than finger-only motion, the HandShoeMouse helps maintain better blood flow during long sessions.

Available in wired and wireless versions for right- and left-handed users and in multiple sizes, the HandShoeMouse is ready to use with Plug & Play. The wireless model includes a rechargeable battery (you can continue working while charging). It also uses an optical sensor with accurate tracking (product data: 1000 DPI for this model) to provide precise pointer control for office tasks.

The HandShoeMouse is finished in a timeless black and built from long-lasting materials. Its ergonomic shape is the result of extended research and reduces unnecessary muscle activity to support comfortable, sustained use.

To get the full ergonomic benefit, the HandShoeMouse must fit your hand. It comes in three sizes and both right- and left-handed versions; choose the correct size using the sizing chart, because the fit directly affects clicking ergonomics and comfort.
