Baks cable tray cover PKR100/2 100x2000 mm 0.5 mm steel
Baks PKR100/2 is a steel cover for cable trays with a nominal profile of 100 x 2000 mm and a material thickness of 0.5 mm. It is designed to sit atop compatible 100 mm-width tray systems to protect installed cables from dust, debris and incidental mechanical contact. The cover is intended for use in electrical installations across industrial, commercial and utility environments where a slim, rigid lid is required to shield cabling runs.
The cover is made from steel with a 0.5 mm thickness that provides a balance between low weight and structural rigidity. Its dimensions match standard 100 mm tray profiles, allowing straightforward fitting to existing compatible trays. The solid lid form reduces ingress of dust and small particles while offering a compact protective layer that does not substantially increase tray height.
This steel cover is not intended for applications requiring heavy mechanical protection, impact resistance against large objects, or protection against liquids or corrosive chemicals unless additional sealing or treatment is applied. It also may not be ideal where a fully ventilated cover or thermal management openings are required for heat dissipation.
Place the cover onto the compatible cable tray running parallel to the tray length so that its edges engage with the tray side flanges. Ensure the tray and cover seating surfaces are clean and free of debris before fitting. For longer runs, align adjacent covers so their ends meet evenly; secure according to the installation practice of the tray system — for example with appropriate clips, fasteners or spot welds if required by the installation specification. Verify that the cover does not impede cable routing or required access for maintenance.
Use this cover where dust exclusion and light mechanical protection are required. For installations exposed to moisture, chemicals or heavy impact, select covers with thicker material, corrosion-resistant coatings or purpose-designed sealed lids. Follow local electrical installation standards when fitting and securing covers to ensure safe cable routing and access.
