Aluminium profile Baks PAL40H40/3,15 894631
Aluminium profile Baks PAL40H40/3,15 is a structural aluminium extrusion with a 40 x 40 mm cross-section and nominal 3.15 mm wall thickness. Designed for framing, mounting and light-to-medium structural applications, the profile provides a corrosion-resistant and lightweight solution for machine frames, enclosures, fixtures and DIY constructions. The open-slot design allows for modular assembly with standard fasteners and connectors compatible with 40 mm series profiles.
The profile combines low weight and good stiffness typical of aluminium extrusions, offering ease of handling and reduced load on supporting structures. Its corrosion resistance makes it suitable for indoor and many industrial environments without additional coatings. The precise cross-section and uniform wall thickness support accurate alignment and repeatable builds, while the slot geometry enables flexible joining and accessory mounting.
This aluminium profile is intended for light-to-medium duty applications; it may not be appropriate where very high load-bearing capacity or heavy dynamic loads are required. For outdoor installations in highly corrosive atmospheres or contact with dissimilar metals that promote galvanic corrosion, additional surface protection or alternative materials should be considered.
Cut the profile to the required length using a suitable saw with an appropriate blade for aluminium. Deburr cut edges and verify squareness before assembly. Use compatible slot nuts, T-bolts, corner brackets and fasteners designed for 40 mm series profiles to build frames or mounts. For precise assemblies, align and clamp sections before tightening fasteners to the recommended torque. If surface finishing is desired, perform anodizing or coating after cutting and cleaning according to the finish supplier's instructions.
For reliable joints, use hardware specified for aluminium profiles and torque fasteners to manufacturer recommendations; protect cut ends from corrosion if the assembly will be exposed to harsh conditions. When assembling structural frames, design with appropriate bracing and verify load paths to ensure stability.
