The Basil Urban Dry is a double rear bicycle bag made from hard-wearing polyester with welded seams for improved water resistance. With a total capacity of 50 litres and dimensions of approximately 360 mm width, 170 mm depth and 420 mm height, the bag provides ample storage for daily errands, shopping trips or longer rides. Each side closes with a zipper to keep contents secure, and the design includes faux leather accents for a refined look. The bag fits on most rear carriers via the Universal Bridge mounting system and is compatible with a range of carrier systems such as MIK, Racktime and i-Rack / Carrymore; adapter plates are sold separately.
The welded seams and waterproof polyester construction reduce water ingress and protect cargo in wet conditions while maintaining a lightweight profile. A 50-litre total volume offers generous storage without significantly increasing the bike’s footprint, and dual zip closures help keep items organised and secure. Reflective details improve visibility at night and the faux leather accents provide a neat, urban aesthetic that suits both everyday commuting and leisure rides. Compatibility with e-bikes and common carrier systems makes installation flexible for different bicycle setups.
Mount the Basil Urban Dry to your rear luggage carrier using the Universal Bridge attachment according to the carrier manufacturer’s instructions. Ensure the bag is centred and secured before riding. Load items evenly between the two compartments to maintain balance; use the zip closures to secure contents. For wet conditions, close all zippers and check welded seams for proper alignment to maximise water resistance. When fitting to a specific carrier system such as MIK, Racktime or i-Rack / Carrymore, fit the required adapter plates if your carrier requires them (sold separately).
Distribute weight evenly between both sides and avoid exceeding the recommended load for your rear carrier. Wipe the bag dry after prolonged exposure to rain and inspect mounting points regularly. For improved visibility at night, combine the bag’s reflective accents with a rear light fixed to the carrier or seatpost.
