Rear Bicycle Basket Basil CENTO NEO 21L MultiSystem NX, black

The Basil CENTO NEO 21L MultiSystem NX rear bicycle basket is a carrier-mounted cargo solution designed for transporting groceries, work items and everyday essentials on the rear rack. It has a 21-litre capacity and a black finish, and it is compatible with the MultiSystem NX mounting standard for secure attachment to suitable luggage racks. The product is intended for urban cycling, commuting and short errands, offering convenient storage without adding excessive bulk.

Advantages

This rear bicycle basket provides a balance of capacity and compactness with its 21-litre volume, making it large enough for shopping bags yet small enough to keep the bike agile. Compatibility with the MultiSystem NX mounting standard ensures reliable fixation on racks that support that system. The black finish offers a neutral, low-maintenance appearance that integrates with most bicycles. As a carrier-mounted solution, it keeps weight over the rear axle for stable handling.

Suitable for

• Transporting groceries and shopping bags during short trips
• Carrying a commuter’s daily items such as a lunchbox, change of clothes or office supplies
• Running errands around town where moderate cargo capacity is required
• Everyday urban cycling when a quick, rack-mounted storage option is preferred

When it may not be suitable

This basket may not be suitable for heavy or oversized cargo beyond its 21-litre volume or for loads that exceed the rack’s rated load capacity. It is intended for use on racks compatible with the MultiSystem NX interface; racks without that compatibility will require different mounting solutions or adapters.

Key specifications

• Capacity: 21 litres
• Mounting type: carrier-mounted, compatible with MultiSystem NX
• Placement: rear rack
• Colour: black
• Intended use: urban commuting and errands

How to use

Mount the basket on a rear rack that supports the MultiSystem NX mounting interface, following the rack and mounting system instructions to ensure a secure fit. Place cargo evenly inside the basket to keep load balance over the rear axle; heavier items should be positioned low and close to the rack. Check the basket and rack attachment regularly, especially after loading heavy items or riding on rough surfaces, and avoid exceeding the rack’s maximum load rating.

What to consider before purchase

• Confirm that your rear rack supports the MultiSystem NX mounting standard or that you have a compatible adapter
• Verify the rack’s maximum load capacity to ensure safe carriage of intended items
• Assess whether 21 litres provides sufficient space for your typical cargo
• Consider whether a closed container or weather protection is required for your needs

Usage recommendations

For stable riding, distribute weight evenly and secure loose items inside the basket. Regularly inspect mounting points and fasteners. If riding in wet conditions, protect contents with a waterproof liner or bag to prevent exposure to rain and road spray.
