Beeztees Hollow Tree Trunk for Rodents, 30 x 5 cm

The Beeztees hollow tree trunk is a natural wooden accessory specifically designed to enrich the living environment of small rodents. Measuring 30 x 5 cm, this tunnel-like structure offers a secure and cozy retreat where pets can hide, play, and explore. Crafted from high-quality natural wood, it provides a safe outlet for the instinctive chewing behavior of small animals, which is essential for maintaining optimal dental health.

Advantages

This accessory serves as a multifunctional addition to any rodent habitat by combining a hiding spot with a durable chew toy. The natural material ensures that the product is safe for pets to gnaw on, helping to wear down their constantly growing teeth effectively. Its tunnel shape encourages natural exploration and physical activity, reducing stress and boredom in small pets. By incorporating this trunk into the cage, owners provide a more stimulating and naturalistic environment that mimics the animal's wild habitat.

Suitable for

• Hamsters and mice
• Gerbils and other small rodents
• Providing a hiding place for rest
• Promoting healthy gnawing habits

When it may not be suitable

This product may not be suitable for larger rodents that are too big to fit through the 5 cm diameter opening, as they could become stuck. Additionally, it is not recommended for environments where the wood might be exposed to excessive moisture, as this could lead to mold or degradation of the natural material.

Key specifications

• Dimensions: 30 cm length, 5 cm diameter
• Material: Natural wood
• Design: Hollow tunnel structure
• Target species: Small rodents

How to use

Place the hollow tree trunk on a flat surface within the rodent's cage or enclosure. Ensure it is positioned securely so that it does not roll or shift unexpectedly while the pet is inside. You can partially bury it in bedding to create a burrow-like experience, which many rodents find comforting. Monitor the condition of the wood periodically and replace it if it becomes heavily soiled or significantly worn down from chewing.

What to consider before purchase

• Check the size of your pet to ensure they can comfortably pass through the 5 cm opening.
• Verify the available floor space in your cage to accommodate the 30 cm length.
• Consider the natural wood material as a consumable item that will eventually need replacement.

Usage recommendations

Regularly inspect the trunk for any sharp splinters or excessive accumulation of waste to maintain a clean and safe environment for your pet.
