Bemko PG-16 Cable Gland, Grey, 100 Pieces
The Bemko PG-16 cable gland is a professional-grade component designed to provide secure cable entry and reliable sealing for electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and control panels. Finished in a neutral grey color, this cable gland effectively manages cable strain while preventing the ingress of dust, moisture, and other environmental contaminants. Each pack contains 100 pieces, making it an ideal choice for large-scale electrical projects and industrial installations where consistency and durability are required.
This cable gland offers exceptional mechanical strength and long-term reliability in diverse operating conditions. Its design ensures a tight grip on the cable, which provides essential strain relief and prevents accidental disconnection or damage to internal wiring connections. The high-quality material construction ensures resistance to environmental factors, maintaining a secure seal over extended periods of use. By utilizing these glands, installers can ensure that their electrical systems meet safety standards for protection against external elements.
This product may not be suitable for applications involving extreme chemical exposure, high-temperature environments exceeding the material's rated limits, or underwater submersion. It is specifically designed for standard electrical enclosures and may not fit non-standard cable diameters or specialized armored cabling.
To install the Bemko PG-16 cable gland, first ensure the enclosure has a correctly sized hole. Insert the threaded body of the gland through the opening and secure it firmly from the inside using the provided locknut. Once the gland is fixed in place, loosen the dome nut, insert the cable through the gland, and tighten the dome nut until the internal seal compresses securely around the cable jacket. This process ensures a moisture-tight and dust-tight connection.
For optimal performance and safety, ensure that the dome nut is tightened sufficiently to create a firm seal without over-tightening, which could damage the cable insulation or the gland threads. Regularly inspect the connections during routine maintenance to confirm that the seals remain intact and the cables are properly secured.
