The be quiet! Silent Base 601 Window Black is a midi-tower PC case designed for quiet operation and convenient system building. It combines thick noise-dampening materials, a tempered glass side window and flexible internal layout to accommodate ATX, E-ATX, Micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards while supporting multiple storage options and water-cooling radiators.

Advantages

Extra-thick 10 mm dampening mats on the front, top and sides together with decoupled HDD cages and a PSU bracket reduce airborne noise and vibrations. Air inlets with specially designed vents guide incoming air twice to minimize noise while maintaining airflow. Two pre-installed Pure Wings 2 140 mm fans with a 3-step fan controller provide quiet, airflow-optimized cooling. The full-metal body and tempered glass window add stability and a clean interior appearance.

How to use

Install your motherboard according to its form factor and secure it to the case standoffs. Use the detachable PSU bracket to mount the power supply from behind and route cables under the PSU shroud to keep the interior neat. Mount storage drives in the removable HDD cages and attach 2.5" drives in the dedicated mounts. Use the included fan controller to connect up to three fans and adjust cooling noise via the three-step settings. For water cooling, remove the small shroud cover or detachable bracket to fit radiators up to 360 mm at the front, top or rear.

Usage recommendations

For best silence, ensure vents are unobstructed, use the decoupled HDD cages for mechanical drives, and set the fan controller to a lower step when full airflow is not required. When installing large radiators or E-ATX motherboards, check clearance for GPU length and CPU cooler height before final assembly.
